Clever Girl – Molly

Good afternoon everyone,

It is a very cold windy sunny day in my neck of the woods and after doing the housework and taking Molly for a walk, I thought I would settle down and complete a page for my Art Journal based on yesterday.

Yesterday Molly and I competed for the first time in a RallyO competition.  It is an arm of Obedience but a lot more fun.  We entered into 5 events, Rally, Zoom and Handy dog x2 which was a big ask for both dog and handler.  Thankfully it was at an inside venue so the weather didn’t matter.  All in all Molly did really well and so did her handler.  I did feel upset with myself for missing a cone in the weave which caused us to lose 10 points.  When out on the course there is a lot to think about.  Needless to say I am thrilled with how we did and have had fun doing the art page.

I have used Dylusion sprays, various stencils, gelatos and a pitt pen.

Thank you for visiting and I hope you have enjoyed this page.

Good afternoon to you all

It is raining in my neck of the woods with snow falling in the ranges, so I am keeping warmRory over the rainbow by the fire and doing a little colouring.

Today I have a stamp from Lacy Sunshine, Oz Collection, she is called Rory’s Over the Rainbow.  Rory is one of my favourite characters from Lacy Sunshine.

She has been coloured with copics and the background has been done with layers of Dylusions paints, stencils, gelatos, white and black pens.

Art Journal Stripes

13606677_1323935257620778_5705174714773578237_nWhen we were given the weekly prompt from’s Art Journal Adventure of stripes last week, I had no idea what I was going to do apart from use some deli paper.  It has then taken almost the full week to sit down and see what I could come up with.  The background has been done with Dylusions paints which I love and used teal and blue.  Once I added the ripped deli paper I could see a beach/ sea page coming together.  I had coloured up a stamp from Artbymarin (girl) and hadn’t done anything with her and she just seemed a perfect fit for a page.  I have used texture gel for the sun, shells and footprints in the sand. On the other page I have used Scrappers Delight’s progressive challenge stamp, both stamps were coloured with copics.

Since I am still new at the art journal thing, I am pretty happy how these pages turned out.

Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolours

Happy Sunday to you, well I guess for most people it is Saturday.  About a month ago I order a 36 set of Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolours after hearing what a lot of crafters/artists were saying.  They finally arrived yesterday and earlier in the week a waterproof black stamp pad also arrived.  So I am now ready to use watercolours in my art journal.  This is the first quick little project I did yesterday.  The stamps are from Polkadoodles and are the Stamp Me Easy Daisy series, the quote is from 20160626_095736_resized Unfortunately I used cheap watercolour paper, but I can work with that.  I am happy with the watercolours, but would like to see another brown included in the set, but wouldn’t like to give up any of the other colours though.  So now my art journaling journey continues.

Thank you for stopping by.
